What Is Induction?
Induction is magnetic heat. The magnets of the cooking surface excite the metal molecules in your pan to generate heat. By bypassing the glass surface, induction is much faster than gas or electric. It also has the best simmer.
Best Freestanding Induction Ranges

It’s been hard times for induction freestanding ranges, but the best value is Frigidaire and Samsung with good wattages at reasonable prices. They both have convection and a warming drawer.
Frigidaire has been available for a longer period of time, so it is more of a known commodity. Samsung has an incredibly flexible top and the world’s only three fan convection system for optimum cooking.
