Electric ranges have not changed much since your last purchase. In fact, they are pretty similar. It is still ceran glass over elements, but some of the features like convection, warming drawer and 5th burners have changed and are worth considering.

It’s very similar to the range you probably now own with 4 burners and stainless steel. Frigidaire is one of the most reliable brands of appliances in the US, so the product works.
Samsung NE59J7630SS – $649 after rebates
You will like this range, because it looks great. Samsung offers convection (fan forced air for even cooking) and various burners for the various pots in your possession. It also has a 20 minute steam self-cleaning cycle rather than the traditional 900 degree, 3 hour cycle .
Frigidaire FGEF3058RF – $759
The Frigidaire Gallery adds convection as well as a fifth burners and a much nicer exterior than their regular range. Convection keeps a more even temperature by distributing the heat with a fan especially for baking.
KitchenAid KFEG500ESS – $999
KitchenAid is brand new and restyled to look more professional. It has flexible burners for almost any pan.
KitchenAid KFED500 – $1,399
This is a true double oven range with the bottom oven being convection. You can cook dessert and the holiday bird with this oven.

Samsung NE58F9500SS – $1,249 after rebates
Samsung dominates the electric slide in market with clean, modern styling, convection and a price far below its competitors.
Bosch Benchmark HEI8054U – $1,799
Bosch has great features as well. They have better rebates and kitchen packages than Samsung.
Jenn-Air JES1450 – $2,199
The new Jenn-Air has a much larger oven than the average by about 20% by placing the controls on the top and reducing the size of the bottom drawer. Have a big family? Then consider Jenn-Air.
Most Popular Induction Ranges
Induction, however, has changed the market for electric cooking. Induction is magnetic heat, which excites the molecules in the metal pan to heat the food faster with instant simmer response.
Induction is in fact faster than the hottest professional range and 30% more efficient for less venting. It’s also the most child safe as well.
Most higher end ranges are now sold as induction.
Frigidaire FGIF3061NF – $1,549
Go back 10 years ago and the only available induction range was $14,999. Today, this Frigidaire comes in at 1/10th the cost, giving you pretty much every conceivable feature from a tempature probe to true european convection…its either magic or more efficient engineering, jury is still out.
Samsung NE597N0PBSR – $1,799
It’s been lean times for induction freestanding ranges, but the best value is Frigidaire and Samsung with good wattages at reasonable prices. They both have convection and a warming drawer. Electrolux is decent, but should be a bit more reliable
Frigidaire has been available for a longer period of time, so it is more of a known commodity. Samsung has an incredibly flexible cooktop and the world’s only three fan convection system for optimum cooking.
Electrolux EI30IF40LS – $1,999
Electrolux and Frigidaire are part vof the same company, but Electrolux has many more automatic cooking modes for proofing breads, dehydrating fruits or cooking the perfect turkey.

Frigidaire is the least expensive option with all induction burners.
Bosch Benchmark HIIP054U – $3,199
Bosch Benchmark has a slick interface and overall great designs. The commercial look is appealing as well as the reliability. There are also great package opportunities with Bosch.
Electrolux EW30IS80RS – $3,449 after rebates
Electrolux is full induction with really great control panel for automatic cooking proofing, dehydrating, and once again the perfect turkey setting as well as two ovens.
